Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr.

By chance, we rented a Scholastic video, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was its opening act. Needless to say, we were up on our feet dancing with our kids. It's a catchy, jingly rhyming book even when read out loud - that tells a wonderful story of how the letters of the alphabet try to climb a coconut tree. Then "oh no!"... and it makes the kids laugh every time. I've found the video here from Amazon, and there are several on YT as well, take a peak below...

And because we were so smitten with this little book, we found this coconut tree at Lakeshore Learning Store - and let the kids help the letters climb. So fun! There are also several teaching resources online that teachers use to integrate this fun story into learning. And oh yes, there is a number version too!
